Disagreement about chess is expected. Personal abuse, dogpiling, and encouraging others to harass someone are not.

Do not share another person’s private information, intimate material, precise location, authentication information, or private messages without permission. Do not impersonate another person or organization.

Content that sexually exploits minors, promotes credible violence, facilitates self-harm, or coordinates illegal activity is prohibited and may be escalated when legally required.

Do not spam, scam, phish, manipulate engagement, evade blocks or suspensions, mass-invite people, or operate deceptive accounts. Connected chess titles must come through supported verification; falsely claiming another person’s identity or title is prohibited.

Analysis of games and fair-play questions can be discussed responsibly. Chesswire does not adjudicate cheating claims, and targeted accusations without reliable public evidence may be removed.

Credit sources where appropriate. Do not post pirated books, paid course material, private tournament communications, or other copyrighted content without permission. Short quotations and game records may still be subject to local law and platform rules.

Use the report action on a post, comment, profile, or chat message to send it to moderators. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Blocking is available when you want to stop direct interaction without requesting moderation.

Enforcement depends on severity, context, prior behavior, and risk. Actions may include a warning, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or account deletion. Owners can also remove members and messages from their Pubs.

If you believe a decision was wrong, use the appeal process. Do not create another account to evade an active restriction.
